Chain of Memories... First chapter

Hey all ,

Life Storm asked me to post my story here. since i was " rude " to her about her story.
well , here we go ,

and just to clear the main ideas of my story , its about a guy who lost he memory in 19th century..
he is looking for a girl who left him a letter.


Chain of Memories.

Strong headaches hit his head and the whole room spun around him as he tried to open his eyes . His dry lips said where am I .. ? . He kept looking around. Alone in this small room which had a weird scent , he was too tired to move so, he just laid on his bed for a few minutes before a lovely lady walked in . oh my .. , are you awake ?!” She exclaimed. he was a bit afraid and confused and he didn't know where he was nor why he was there ..
ye..yeah I think so .. , may I know where am I ?” he asked .
The nurse got closer to him and checked him while she answered him you’re in doctor John’s clinic”
Then , she took long breath after she finished checking him you have been passed out for very long time …” the nurse said .
for how long ?” he wondered with very strange tone in his voice .
She calmed him down and said it’s still 1887 , don’t worry, nothing changed out there”
He goes oh , ok.. so, who brought me here ?” he asked .
a beautiful lady brought you here around eight months ago and she left you a red rose with a letter . She personally asked me to make sure you would read it when you wake up” the nurse said .
She left him to rest after she gave him the letter. He couldn’t wait any longer so, he just laid his back on a pillow and started to read the letter ..
It said :
if you’re reading this letter it means you're still alive . I don’t know how you could survive after that hit in your head . you are just as strong as I have known you since we were little , you have this combination of courage , a pure heart and a very strong will . I apologize for not staying with you , I had to go and settle few things down . I have full faith we will meet once again , it will be my pleasure to see you .
I paid for your treatment and John , the doctor , is a friend of mine . I’m quite sure he will take good care of you . sincerely your love , Anna Richard.”
Who is she …. ?” he said…

Chapter one : Comatose

A few minutes later , the doctor came in . He was tall , and he walked toward the patient, his steps long and ground covering. His brown eyes had a cheerful look in them, and his black hair was cut short . The first time you see doctor John , you can tell that cheerful smile never leaves his face. It gives all his patients, and their family members hope.
Good morning sleepy , how are you doing ?” the doctor asked him with a smile .
He closed his eyes and said I’m tired and I’ve been having rather painful headaches.”
The doctor got closer to him and checked his eyes then , he said you look just fine , you can leave as soon as you get some rest”
He smiled and said I don’t think I would miss this bed”
The doctor laughed and placed his hands on his waist, before asking him well Mr. Beckett , when do you want to leave ?”
Beckett … ? , that is not my name” he said
The doctor gave him a strange look, he assumed something was wrong with Mr. Beckett . what is my name…? who am I ? why I can’t remember anything ?!” Beckett yelled .
The doctor tried to calm him down and explained that, after a hit like that one could easily lose their memory.
I will get you some water, meanwhile, rest for a bit and we will go for a walk, it might help you a bit. Besides, you didn’t move in a long time. You need to stretch your legs , you'll need them one day.” smiled, then continued Everything will be fine , don’t worry young man”

Beckett closed his eyes and thought about Anne Richard , wondering who she is and why she didn’t come visit him …
The doctor interrupted his thoughts there you go Mr. Beckett” handed him some water .
how do you know Anne Richard” ? Beckett asked
The doctor itched his chin trying to remember how they first time met , she came to here when she is sick , she says she can’t trust the doctor there”
there ?” Beckett wondered
hmm.. she is from a different town , East Heaven , few hours from here , she usually comes here to buy medicine and consult me , I’ve known her for years”

can you help me , I need to go to East Heaven ?” Beckett asked .
I can’t leave my clinic ,but I know this guy he is headed to East Heaven on Monday” the doctor said .
what day is it today ?” Beckett asked .The doctor smiled before he answered It’s Saturday”.

Closing his eyes for a second as he tried to bare with the pain he still felt in his head.
It wasn't as strong as before thankfully, but he still hurt.
He sat up, and turned sideways, placing his feet on the cold floor beside the bed.
He felt a bit dizzy, so he sat there a moment, sipping the water and waiting for it to pass.
The doctor stood smiling nearby, ready to help him if need be, but letting him do things on his own if he can.
Slowly, Beckett stood, placing his hand on the table beside the bed for a bit of support as he felt a little dizzy again from all the sudden movements.
The doctor seemed to see the slightly frustrated look on Beckett's face, and he smiled at him encouragingly.
"With an injury like yours, specially since you have been bedridden this whole time, it's common for you to be dizzy and such when you first try to stand. You'll be back to yourself in no time."
Beckett nodded his head, he had already guessed the reason for the dizzy spells, and the headache that was making them even worse.
Taking a few steps away from the bed once his dizzy spell passed, he found his legs a bit weak, and not so eager to work.
But, the doctor reassured him, once he got up and moving, he'd be back to perfect health in no time.

"Can you contact that friend? I wish to go with him when he leaves. "

Smiling, the doctor nodded his head. "Of course. Your welcome to stay here until then, since your still recovering."
no , I want to go to him alone” Beckett interrupted.
Okay.. he has a shop down on Angels St. called Seven Seas, you should find him there”

Beckett changed his clothes from those he had been sleeping,
the doctor explained to him that, along with dropping him off, she had dropped off some of his clothes. He walked slowly out of the room, meeting up with the doctor, who had gone outside while he changed, and they headed towards the doors.

His legs were feeling weak, but he was determined they would grow strong quickly, so he kept moving.
Thank you for everything doctor” Beckett said. The doctor patted him on his shoulder don’t worry young man. Please , take care in your journey”

Beckett smiled . He was about to leave , but the nurse stopped him Mr. Beckett , I know you are a bit afraid and you can come here in anytime you wish. I just wanted you to know , you’re always welcome”

She hugged him before he said sure” .
He was hearing them saying goodbye as he took few steps out the clinic. He never looked back to them but , deep in his heart he knew he will meet them again someday.


that's for now,
i only posted this story cause life storm asked for one..
besides , this story isnt finished yet,
i have written few chapters .. but i got busy with my college..
