** The Road Less Travelled ... **

Hello everyone, i really miss you guys,
n i wonder why some of us have suddenly disappeared.. hope everyones fine

as u can see, i haven't been posting as much as i want nowadays.. but I came up with a very
fascinating and famous poem that caught my
hard-catching interest,, so i thought of sharing it with you..
i know everyone is busy, but the time taken to read this would be very much appreciated..

"The Road Not Taken" is a poem by Robert Frost, published in 1916 in his collection Mountain Interval..
The title is often misremembered as "The Road Less Traveled" ,, from the
penultimate line: "I took the one less traveled by"...

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,,
And that has made all the difference..

** About the poem … **

The literal meaning of this poem by Robert Frost is pretty obvious..
A traveler comes to a fork in the road and needs to decide which way to go to continue his journey..
After much mental debate, the traveler picks the road "less traveled by.."

The figurative meaning is not too hidden either.
The poem describes the tough choices people stand for when traveling the road of life..


Having analysed the poem,, i think it has a lot of more hidden meanings to be discovered.. it really
does reflect the every-day human life experiences we tackle, the choices
we make, and how they bring regret and worry to our lives..

I would have wrote everything i interpreted and analysed.. but I know it cant get any more boring ..
So I was thinking .. what would u think?

yes i agree with you, uniqueness and being yourself rather than followin the majority, "the road less travelled"

but even that may cause you trouble later on..
although the poet sounded proud he knew he was gona regret his choice someday int he future..

ur right, but u'd still want to 'expect' to regret the choice u made, which was; taking the road less travelled
anyhow, being different will hopefully "make all the difference" as Frost claimed

The one less travelled.. I could never forget this poem.. I love it so much and it means a lot to me .. To take the road less travelled is a big challenge and risky because you are going to try a new road that you could nobody has experienced it before. Somehow, i feel that my life is like this road because I always like to take the challange and experience the less used ..
