Muscat, Jan 30 (ONA) --- An official security source has announced that as a result of the sincere efforts exerted by the faithful sons of this country, the security apparatuses have discovered a spy network affiliated to the State Security Service in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) targeting the regime in Oman and the mechanism of the governmental and military work. The convicted will be presented before the trial according to the procedures followed in this regard.

May Allah the Almighty protect His Majesty the Sultan and our beloved country against all harms.

WAM Abu Dhabi, Jan 30th, 2011 (WAM)--The UAE has been shocked and surprised by the report of the Omani News Agency on uncovering of a UAE spy network in the Sultanate of Oman.

In statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE categorically denies any knowledge or link with the alleged network, and was surprised to get its name immersed in such reports that contradict the values and norms of the UAE dealings with the sisterly and friendly countries, especially with the Sultanate of Oman with which the UAE is so keen to bolster the fraternal historic relations.

Hence, the UAE expresses its full willingness to cooperate with the Sultanate of Oman in any investigations that it carries in full transparency in order to uncover all relevant parties that attempt to mar the relations between the two countries.

The source said the UAE is fully keen to foster all that link the UAE with Oman, indicating that the security and stability of the Sultanate of Oman is the stability of the UAE.

Well, there are contradiction in UAE denies and when they offer the official apology few months ago.

that time when they apologized, it seemed they were true spying on Oman & the Majesty, And they now denied it..
the question is, why they didn't deny it once they heard the news?

I wanted to note that, there are people in UAE behind all of this situation & criminal Case toward a population and their Ruler "His Majesty".


It's really really disappointing, after what his majesty has done so much to them in help & solving their issues after their father passed away.
All what I could mention here, they are poor in Political Wisdom to deny this issue, like this need much careful, understanding of the issue, wither it's true or not. Then announce the official response to it accurately.

We shall not forget, the population of UAE not part on this, we always consider them as families, neighbors and brothers & sisters as long as they showed us the same, unless those who don't.

Whatever happened between Oman and UAE might be a big mess made up by the outsiders.... Oman and UAE MUST Unite to fight the misunderstanding between them and get back together....Oman <3 UAE. lemme tell all ppl who curse UAE citizens..UAE citizens have nothing to do with whatever happened in Oman...they should curse the traitors who did this and let's help each other fight this piece of crap and get Oman and UAE back to Unity.

Well guys, parden me to consider UAE people as families and brothers even though what a small minority has distorted the whole image of UAE.

If we talk frankly, not merely UAE is spying on us, but also so many other countries and this is known for so many people. In all cases, people who spyed on us are Omanis coporating with the security system of UAE.

It is the greatet treachery that can some one can do. I strongly believe that exempting these people from punishment is not accepted. They deserve to get the toughest ever penalty that a government can do in order to avert this ridiclous event from happening again.

Who established that cell is a small minority who are relatively limited to the number of fingures. I believe that small minority doesnt represent the vast majority of Emarities who respect and appreciate the warming relationships between the tow countries. In contrary to that, I am not denying the reality of what had happened, but just enlightening myslef and you, hombres, to not be over sentimental and start judging things from the prospectives of heart rather than of wise mind.

Oman claims to have uncovered a United Arab Emirates (UAE) spy network in the Gulf Arab state that targeted its government and military.

The UAE have denied having links to any such network while a regional security analyst on Sunday said that he found the allegations puzzling.

"This is all very murky," Theodore Karasik, director of research and development at the Dubai-based Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis, said.

"One possibility is that the UAE wants to know more about Iran-Oman relations because of Tehran and Muscat's long ties in security and military cooperation."

Oman's state news agency reported that its "security services uncovered a spying network belonging to the state security apparatus of the United Arab Emirates, targeting ... Oman and the way its government and military work".

It gave few details but an Omani government official, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, said a number of Omani nationals had been arrested, including some who worked for the government.

The Omani official said the arrests dated back about two months, but gave no other details.

Oman's news agency ONA said the suspects would be sent to court.

The UAE foreign ministry, in a statement carried by the state news agency WAM, said "the UAE expresses its full willingness to cooperate with ... Oman in any investigations that it carries out in full transparency to uncover (those) who try to mar the relations between the two countries."

Oman maintains good relations with Iran and was instrumental in helping to negotiate the release of one of three US hikers accused by Tehran of straying from Iraq into Iranian territory.
