Todays Surgery is about Transfer of a tendon from one place to another,.,
In this surgery I will demonstrate to You how to take for example ( Plantaris Muscle tendon from the Knee to the Medial aspect of the Foot )
This is a very artistic surgery and requires good knowledge of the anatomy and the Surgical methods.
These pictures are showing step by step what I had done. The patients are quite well post op .
Before doing the surgery one has to plan it and proper measurement of the defect and the amount of the tendon required in CM and MM to be taken.
Plantaris is good for long tendon deficit and the Palmaris longus tendon is good for smaller tendon deficit and transplantation.
