My take on the whole thing:
A leader is a person with an intrinsic sense of future vision and very assertive in nature…he knows where does he wants to go, the resources available for him to do so and where these resources can be utilized better and when to achieve the desired goal/s… as such his personal traits are of the ability to 1) set a vision , to 2) effectively apply the resources available to him ( Human and other resources ) and to 3) keep the motivation on. There are people who believe these things can be taught in schools and universities but I am not one of them. I think to a large extent leaders are born with certain traits that can be further improved by schooling and experiences but not created by any teaching.
