i did it but not in Oman....its a bit tough........
u need to practice, practice, and practice all the time for writing, reading, listening and speaking .... enshallah u will get it

I have done this course about two years ago. You will be asked to do a test which will determine whether you will need a two week course or a four week course. the two week is good if your english level is high. if your not, you will need the four week course because the four week course will teach you some english along side the IELTS quistions but the two week will only make you aware of the test and its questions. all this will be decided by your result from the test. i hope this will be helpful

Its a normal English course but to get u ready for the IELTS at the end. The IELTS differ if u r a science or art oriented person, otherwise the questions always change. If you (la sama7 allah) fail or dont get the grade you targetting, then you have to wait atleast 3 months (as far as I remmber) to do it again. Personally, I would advise you to take an English course at British Counsil before u attempt to do the IELTS. Also, try 2 do IELTS past exam papers as much as u can. Probably the hardest bit is reading, where u have to be a fast reader and a good scanner, so keep reading more English books, stories, magazines, etc... Wish you all the best
