One of the most important part of Sablat Oman established onDecember 08, 2006 .Suggested by a member called الروح

Main goals and purposes of the English Forum

To meet the needs of English education in Sablat Oman

To boost and encourage talented members in writing articles, poems, short stories, discussions and other topics to increase the outcome of English phrases and words

Teaching those who need help in learning the language

Giving advices about the ideal way how to make correspondence, official letters and English exams ( IELTS & TOEFL)

Great chance to members to meet each other who have the same interest in learning English


Moderators of the forum

This forum witnessed great moderators who an important role in the English Forum in the past and now

Titles in English Forum

Currently we have two members holding the title of " EF distinguished member"

One of the great memories in the EF , where members spent wonderful time together and was a chance to identify some phrases and word commonly used in Chat forums, beside the sense of humor of some members


French league

A part of the main page in EF, suggested by members interested in learning French language, it is a sticky thread similar to EF chat box initially to practice the language , implemented by AL Qaid Al Ala and use to be supervised by Ghassan Bin Omar


Education and Support sub-forum

Meant to help those who have any enquiry or help regarding :

-Idioms

-Beginners in English

-Common mistakes in English

And any educational helps regarding the language only

Well done, this is a very useful topic especially for me as a new member here.

I think it should be sticky.

But one question:

What happens to EF nowadays?

Really I missed all the EFers like smiley face, balance, B4E, BBK and the others

I see only FG around and you sometimes.

From the day 1 in this forum, I have notice many changes. It is not like any other part Sablat Oman

To be honest with you I can’t speculate more why many members have left the forum, even they were spending most of their time here, but that lead us to think and put possibilities for that

Possibility one

Naturally new stuff attract many people, you can apply that to forums as well. When it was new this place was packed like sardines as there were many members participate in it and there were 4 moderators at once, beside many administration members were sharing here like Mosa al Farai and Co, but gradually number of moderators started to decline to end up with a forum without moderators.

Possibility two

Locking off chatting - box

That was the heart of the forum and members got used to it since long time. Suddenly closing up the box made some members protest of that and complained without any ear to listen to them. They felt their word are not considered despite their long time in the forum so they decided to leave


Possibility 3

Some of members are students abroad, so they are just doing their studies and they will be back - god will- as soon as they are free

Possibility 4

Some EF members are members at other parts of Sbla , may be they didn't like something in entire Sabla -not only EF- and decided to leave, they might go t oppressed by admin or a mod and decided to leave peacefully

I have seen that thread , it was wonderful one beside I have read many threads for you at the beginning , at the time I was here but didn’t share in EF

About disappearing of X moderators , we can give the excuse as they did their part here and managed the forum very well.

CD is handling another forum and he responsible for that , maybe that was one of the reasons he is not participating here anymore or maybe he has another responsibilities that we dont know but I am sure that he is around

VatO & cont are still doing well, and their threads are still have the same taste and shining , let us not to be more pessimistic

The forum is still alive but it is like the season of the year. Let us not to compare EF to General sabla because there is something upside down there and full complains, go to complain forums and see the type of complains there. Thanks to Allah that EF members are responsible and have understanding with each other

Compare it to any English Forum in Oman you find the most lively forum , even to forums in Egnlish only like that one in my signature

You post one thread now and you get the reply after two days
