Business Analyst
Job Ref. BA – 001

Duties & Responsibilities:-
To provide on-going analysis of internal business data. To include monthly reporting on core products and services and ad-hoc analysis as and when requested by internal clients.
To provide interpretation of that analysis, highlight any underlying trends. From this analysis make recommendations to the business, on proposed action points.
Develops various business models based on market trends and company performance.
To provide market intelligence. The on going monitoring and analysis of the external marketplace, focusing primarily on the core energy market, but also identifying new market opportunities.
To undertake on-going potential competitor analysis. Through production of an internal Competitor Update highlight potential competitor analysis. Identify new trends in other power company's activities and services in the region.
Develops an internal knowledge management system.
Maintains the internal data warehouse populated with of the internal knowledge management system.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with government officials, private industry officials, professional personnel, and others.
Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate program and administrative activities of a complex, interrelated, and interdependent nature, where unknowns and numerous contingency factors are involved.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:-

University Degree in Business Studies or economics or equivalent.
Minimum 6-9 years experience in business analysis (Experience in Electricity sector is preferable).
Good Communication & presentation skills.
Proficient user of MS Office
Thorough knowledge of labor laws, employee policies and procedures.
Priority will be giving to Omani candidates



Billing & Collection Manager

Job Ref: BS– 001


Duties & Responsibilities:-

Supervise the activities of the Billing and Collection Department.
Manage the collection of the billing operation though the billing contractor.
Manage the billing and collection bulk customers and arrange for collection from the bulk consumers such as government organizations
Verify the invoices submitted by the billing and collection agents.
Monitor the balances in the customer accounts.
Assist with the development and maintain policies and procedures to govern the efficient operation of the department.
Identify and impose key performance indictors for outsourced billing and collection contractors
Manage the MRBC contract and performance against agreed KPIs
Regular verification of service provider data and report of performance.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills:-

A professional degree (CA, CPA, ICWA) or equivalent.
7-10 years experience. (Experience in electrical sector is preferable).
Proficient user of MS Office.
Excellent presentation and communication skill.
Flexible, motivated & good team player.
Priority will be giving to Omani candidates








Credit Controller

Job Ref: CC– 002


Duties & Responsibilities:-

Daily cash management
Credit control for industrial & government customers
Ensure compliance with operational manual
Prepare periodical MIS
Liaise with bank and other financial institutions
Interact regularly with outsourced contractors for company's billing & collection
Monitor the credit control activity by the outsourced agency
Act as a key member for the in house billing & collection system development.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills:-

A professional degree (CA, CPA, ICWA) or equivalent.
5-7 years experience. (Experience in electricity sector is preferable).
Proficient user of MS Office.
Excellent presentation and communication skill.
Flexible, motivated & good team player.
Priority will be giving to Omani candidates












Safety Electrical Engineer (Omanies Only)

Job Ref: SE– 004

Duties & Responsibilities:-

Assist to deliver & monitor Electrical HSE plan.
Assist and follow up training and HSE progression plan for all MEDC staff and contractors
Assist to maintain HSE management system to ensure effective implementation of this system.
Conduct regular checking to contractors.
Assist to review all electrical staff competency and authorization.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills:-

University degree in Electrical Power Engineer or equivalent.
3-5 years experience in electrical power system. (Experience in Electrical HSE is preferable).
Proficient user of MS Office.
Excellent presentation and communication skill.
Flexible, motivated & good team player.
